Before we went away, Chris and I spent the day with our little bud Brandon. It was super hot and we were dying in the weather out here in the valley. We started the day by watching Chris play two baseball games, with a few runs to the gas station for some cold water and candy for Brandon! For lunch we grabbed the good ol greasy McDonalds and then headed out to Vancouver. Brandon loves fire trucks and airplanes and we had been promising him a trip to Vancouver airport to watch the planes for a few weeks. He was so excited and it was so cute to watch him. Really, my husband was quite the kid himself, I guess with age they just become "bigger kids."
The breeze was nice in the city and was definatley a relief to the horrible heat we had in Abbotsford. It was cool to watch Brandon and Chris together. Brandon really likes it when Chris is able to hang out with us too. Of course he thinks I'm alright, cause I take him to the aiport to check out Westjet on a frequent basis, but the connection he has with Chris is quite amazing and very cute to watch. Chris is very gentle, caring, and patient and its neat to watch him with the kids I bring into our lives. When the three of us are hanging out together, I often sit back, watch and listen to what goes on between the two of them. I know Brandon thinks Chris is just the best and he really looks up to him, although I'm not sure Chris even realizes the positive affect he has on Brandon. Watching this makes me excited about the future when we have children of our own. I know he will make a great dad and our kids will think he's just the best! I think he is too!
