Vacationing on the Island

As you know, for our anniversary trip away Chris and I went to Tofino. It was my first time there and it was so much fun. Although it was cold at night, it was cool to watch the sunsets together and hang out on the beach. Chris bought me a pair of sunglasses. I don't say a "new" pair of sunglasses because I have never worn sunglass because they would always be pushing my eyelashes up against my eyes and that was horribly uncomfortable. We decided to "try" to find a pair, even though I was adamant that I was not created to wear sunglasses or sunglasses were not created to be worn by my face structure. HHahaahahaha!
Well, the first store we walked into the lady was explaining that she had the same problem and that I needed a specific shape that would wear well on my face. Alright then......so we started to search and ended up buying these in Tofino. I love them to death and I am definatley a sunglass wearer for the first time in my life at the age of 25! I never thought I would ever be able to wear them, but boy am I glad. I can actually enjoy this sunny weather without headaches and sun in my eyes all day. VOILA!!! NO EYELASH ISSUES!
After three days in Tofino, we went to stay with my parents for a few days. One night we went out deer hunting and to the house to check out the progress. Jessie came along for the ride and was very excited. She was trying all week to get into our car so she was super stoked to be coming along for the ride.

In the evenings, my Mom would feed the horses that come up to her fence. Jessie was also intrigued by this, but a bit wimpy too! I have to admit that while I love horses and think they are beautiful I am still scared of them. Since the time in grade 9 when I fell off Kara's horse at Campbell Valley Park when it decided it wanted to have none of this walking business and wanted to return to the barn - - - I've just never quite gotten over the fear I have. Maybe one day....*sigh*
